Matthew Matatof is a partner and founding member of the firm.  Matthew has extensive experience in real estate and corporate law.  His practice focuses on real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing and development of both residential and commercial properties in the tri-state area.  He regularly represents individual clients and investors entering joint ventures for both small and large development projects.  He has represented lenders and borrowers in hundreds of transactions totaling in excess of $1 billion.   

Matthew regularly advises his clients on general business matters including due diligence, deal structure, corporate structure, and various other general business matters.  With both a J.D. and an M.B.A., Matthew has a unique perspective of the law from a business viewpoint.

Michael is a partner and co-founder of Matatof Murphy LLP.  For the better part of a decade, he’s been a trusted ally, confidant and resource for his clients in their real estate and business ventures across the tri-state area. During this time, Michael has helped navigate those clients (individuals, entities, and lending institutions alike) through successful transactions totaling over $1 billion in the aggregate, including the Real Estate Board of New York’s “Deal of the Year” in 2020, for which Michael served as purchaser’s counsel.  Michael is a frequent guest lecturer at real estate brokerages and lending branches across NY and NJ, covering a variety of topics in the residential and commercial real estate sectors. Michael resides in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and their young son, Connor.
